The hospital is a new infrastructure of more than 110.000 square meter, located in within the Historic enclosure of the Hospital de la Santa Creu I San Pau. The former hospital of the architect Lluis Domenech I Montaner, is a hospital complex declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. The project values and respects the privileged of its location, taking into account the order of the building and the scale of the existing buildings, giving a simple response to a complex program and assuming its character as a public building. The volumetry is positioned in a calm, clean and bright way, comfortable for both the patient and the workers, while attractive to the visitor and easy to navigate with the fewest routes.
